Xi Theta Chapter of STTI was chartered in 1994 by the California State University, Dominguez Hills School of Nursing. The chapter began its legacy as a CSUDH honor society and expanded that legacy by becoming the 342nd chapter of STTI. Since our chartering we have inducted hundreds of nursing students and community leaders into STTI and currently operate with a chapter membership of more than 300 members. One of the things that makes Xi Theta especially interesting is our success as a chapter that is associated with a School of Nursing which caters primarily to distance-learning students. A few of our many accomplishments include the planning and execution of the Odyssey Research Conference, in conjunction with other local STTI chapters, earning the coveted Chapter Key Award and our continued philanthropic donations. These include donations to the Community Food Bank of San Bernadino, the mediclal clinic in Baja, Mexico - Flying Samaritans, and contributions that help sustain STTI . Due to the aspect of Distance Learning at CSUDH, our chapter is a "virtual" chapter which primarily meets online. We also provide an annual in-person induction ceremony each spring on campus and in the autumn of 2014, we additionally celebrated our 20th Anniversary on campus. Our liaison with the CSUDH Nursing Student Organization offers a smooth transition for nursing students to enter the professional world of nursing.
